Be-Atzmi fosters collaborations and partnerships, some of which are short-term and others long-term (See list of partnerships).
Such widespread collaborations enable us to pool the partners’ existing knowledge and experience, increase and develop the financial resources available to our different activities, and create an impact sphere comprised of all the agencies and organizations involved in employment promotion. The participants in our employment programs also see the value in working together and benefit from the enhanced and more broad-based solutions we offer them.
The types of partnerships that Be-Atzmi maintains
Partnerships with local authorities
Our programs are run in partnership with municipal agencies (in over 90 cities, local councils, and regional councils). These partnerships aim to augment and streamline the services provided by the local authority to its residents, in which all the relevant professional agencies in the city/town are involved (e.g. social services, employment services, youth centers, citywide roundtables, etc.).
Partnerships with the corporate and philanthropy sectors
Be-Atzmi spearheads collaborations with the corporate sector in Israel, as well as philanthropic foundations from Israel and abroad. In addition to ongoing reporting of results and evaluation outcomes, we also familiarize our partners with the key elements of our professional operations, and update and consult with them about matters of shared concern, either when reaching significant professional crossroads or at steering committee meetings.
Partnerships with government offices in the framework of public bids and RFPs
Much of our work is the result of winning government bids. For example, Be-Atzmi was entrusted with the professional management of two of the most important employment programs in the country, Eshet Chayil and Employment Empowerment, after winning government bids. We also view these bids as another means to develop the professional services provided to our program participants. Furthermore, they broaden the awareness that government offices have about employment issues, and can potentially impact policy initiatives at the different levels.
Partnerships with social change organizations
To offer enhanced solutions to our program participants. Be-Atzmi partners with interfacing and complementary organizations, such as Paamonim (who work on improving financial management skills) or Latet Atid (who enhances the entrepreneurial skills). Be-Atzmi also partners with other organizations in order to introduce or amend policies. This includes our leading role in the Israeli Forum for Diversity Hiring, which is engaged in promoting workforce diversity in the business community, or the Collective Impact initiative.
Be-Atzmi is adept at managing partnerships between the public sector, philanthropic foundations and partner associations, and promotes cross-sector partnerships. Our partnership with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Social Services and the Ted Arison Family Foundation is a prime example of an effective cooperation, currently implemented in the Employment Empowerment program spearheaded by the Ministry. Another example can be found in the Hevra LeMa’an Hevra project (initially developed by Be-Atzmi and OREX-Carestream Ltd. in Yokneam), under which a business organization helps the community by facilitating, mentoring and supporting our program participants during their job search.
The Prime Minister’s Office
Be-Atzmi belongs to a select group of social change organizations that were chosen to participate in a cross-sector roundtable at the Prime Minister’s Office, mandated with formulating policy ideas and shaping the relations between the three sectors – public, corporate and social. The roundtable discussions join representatives from the tri-sectors: one-third from the public sector, one-third from the social sector, and one-third are associated with the corporate sector. The discussions also examine the optimal way to incorporate the unique capacities of the different organizations in broad-based and diverse initiatives.
