WHAT WE DO

The Be-Atzmi vision of using employment to reduce social inequalities attaches great importance to individual empowerment. When people join one of our programs they receive professional coaching and support through a process of psychological, conceptual, and cognitive change that will ultimately help them find self-fulfillment through employment. This process of change includes improving their employability, developing their ability to make personal choices, and building a career path based on capabilities, tendencies, and goals. For each job seeker we develop a personal program, one that suits their personality and their needs. The models we have developed over the years are designed to implement this approach

 WE WORK WITH ISRAELI EMPLOYERS

We help employers recruit, train, and place employees.

We work in close partnership with businesses and organizations who want to promote diversity, corporate responsibility, community relations and social change. With this in mind, we create tailored solutions that meet the individual needs of any company or organization.

In addition, together with the Israeli Forum for Employment Diversity, our joint initiative with The Ministry of Welfare and Social Affairs , Social Affairs and Social Services, we promote workforce diversity and a fair and friendly work environment. The Forum includes a cross-section of organizations that have come together to promote diversity, encourage dialog, and provide advanced tools specifically adapted for Israeli employers. The Forum also promotes diversity in management and conducts a ‘valuing diversity’ training course for managers

What core issues do we promote?

  • Diversity: promoting recruitment of a diverse range of employees who are graduates of our employment programs. Our program participants benefit from both individual and group mentoring and enter the labor market as skilled professionals committed to the professional path they have chosen.
  • Community Relations and Corporate Responsibility: we help employers contribute to the community through volunteering opportunities that allow their employees to mentor our participants.
  • Professional Development for Employees: we offer companies and businesses a range of workshops and training programs that help their employees develop and climb the company ladder. We also offer employment workshops for families of employees.
  • Advancing Social and Public Employment Policies: we promote public policies that advocate workforce diversity in, among others, the Prime Minister’s Office Roundtable, the Israeli Forum for Employment Diversity, and the Co-Impact Initiative. Businesses are regularly invited to learn more about our activities in these fields and join us in making a difference in Israeli society.

Time and again we prove that people in underserved communities do not lack talent, ability, or motivation. They simply lack opportunities.

OUR WHEELS FOR CHANGE MODEL

Wheels for Change is our professional model for promoting employment among underserved populations with limited opportunities. It fulfils our vision of reducing poverty and social disparities in Israel by widening and deepening access to meaningful employment.

Wheels for Change unites different Be-Atzmi components that focus on helping participants acquire stable and fair employment commensurate with their skills, needs, and personal goals. The model was developed by combining professional theories with the practical experience we have accumulated over the years. It implements our individual and group coaching – our practical and effective application of programs that drive change and meet the needs of both individuals and groups.

OUR CAREER RESILIENCE MODEL

A job market in constant flux and facing frequent large-scale crises requires individuals to develop personal resilience. Career resilience (employability) is defined as “the set of components and skills required by an individual to integrate, persevere, and progress in a dynamic labor market.”

The Career Resilience Model offers a solution to upcoming crises. It is based on individual, community, and national resilience, offering tools for assessing, reinforcing, developing, and measuring career resilience in a given population.
