DAF CHADASH (Hebrew for A NEW LEAF)

Daf Chadash is a rehabilitative employment program that helps women who are survivors of domestic violence turn over a new leaf. The program is designed for women who have fled abusive relationships, and rather than flee to a women’s shelter are being cared for by centers for the prevention of domestic violence.

Daf Chadash rehabilitates these women, providing them with individual mentoring and counselling. Mentoring includes employment integration, maximizing benefits, accessing community support, and personal empowerment.

“Daf Chadash is an exciting initiative for the many women who have fled abusive relationships but choose to remain in their communities. We mentor and support them at a significant juncture in their lives and help them turn over a new leaf by accessing available resources, addressing individual needs, and adjusting to a new and independent life – for themselves and for their children.” – Program Director Einat Segal.
