SUCCESS STORY OF MIRIAM FEIN

Miriam, 40, a single mother of four, lives in Beit Shemesh

She participated in the Family Employment Empowerment program.

Miriam entered the program five years ago without a high school diploma and no work experience. Family Employment Empowerment helped her focus on – and realize – her dream of working with at-risk youth.

We began by helping Miriam finance childcare for her young daughter so that she could seek stable employment. She initially worked at a community center as a coordinator for at-risk youth. Today she is an at-risk youth manager employed by the Beit Shemesh municipality.

Miriam credits the program for teaching her to make decisions and take charge of her life. Thanks to Family Employment Empowerment she can now channel unexpected hitches and struggles into improvement and progress.

Family Employment Empowerment helps participants better manage their family budgets and make employment-related changes.
